The weather finally broke & the sun came out. We got to head to the park for a little family fun! This little guy is simply adorable! I love photographing this age. They are so sweet…all smiles and you can see their joy in exploring the surrounding world! Love how this session came out. This family was all about playing and loving on their little guy!

Newborns. There is nothing more precious than new life. Watching new parents interact with their baby warms my heart. As a new parent, you are the most tired that you have EVER been in your life…your world has been turned upside down. However, the second you hear that cry you are ready to go…day or night. You pry your eyes open out of the deep sleep and you welcome that baby with open arms. Simply said being a parent is one of the hardest things you will ever do…Nothing ever comes as planned. However, it is absolutely nothing short of spectacular! I simply adore capturing those sweet smiles, nervous giggles and of course the intense love that is wrapped up in a newborn session. Fall. Hands down this is my favorite season. The leaves turn the most amazing colors. I simply adore the orange, rust, yellow and red hues!!! The air has a scent that is unmistakeable. Early in the morning, the fog rolls in & the sun peeks out behind the clouds. The cozy sweaters come out of hiding. Let’s not forget…We get to sip hot cider by the fireplace. Love…love…love everything about fall! On top of all these wonderful things. I get to photograph my wonderful clients during this amazing time. I adore sitting behind my viewfinder watching them interact and play with their loved ones. The result is nothing short of beautiful. I think this lovely family sums it up! In honor of one of the most important yet difficult jobs in the world, Courtney Lofts Photography is offering a special Momma & Me Session. Mother’s Day is right around the corner on May 8th, 2011. You know how it is…as a mom we are often the one behind the scenes. We are the one’s taking the pictures and videos, icing the cupcakes, putting things together for our cherished little ones. Hence, we are often left out of the shot! This session is to honor you and your children together. You are a beautiful mom and that needs to be captured. The interaction between a mother and her children is GORGEOUS! Don’t let that be forgotten. This session isn’t just for small children and their moms…the only requirement is that you are a mother with your children. One thing I love is cooking with my little girls. Cooking together brings a sense of calm, focus and joy to our house… I will always cherish the memories of cooking with my little ones! Thinking about it always makes me smile! I thought that this particular picture was perfect because Madison’s PJ’s summed up the morning! What a perfect first picture for my 52 week project! I am going to shoot at least a picture a week of our life and then next year compile our memories into a memory album that we can look back on forever!
This day started off with a drizzle and ended up in a down pour! Thank goodness for the NW pine tree canopy!!! This little one had so much energy…We ran, we threw, we climbed and we of course laughed (a lot)!!! He is ALL BOY! I had so much fun out in the rainy drizzle! You guys were so much fun I “almost” didn’t notice the rain!
This family was so laid back and all about just hanging out with each other! It is quite clear how much they love being together! I love how casual and real their pictures came out! I really had a hard time picking my favorites! Thanks for such a fun evening!
